Pizza Palate

Pizza palate is the roof of the mouth, the palate, burnt by trying to eat very hot foods or drinking hot drinks. The name of the condition is given to pizza because most often, it is caused when a person tries to eat hot pizza and burns his palate. However, it is not only caused by a pizza in reality.

The palate experiences pain due to the burning and sometimes, blisters can be formed. The particular area which is affected by the burn can sometimes become swollen and will feel raw. The pizza palate burns are minor burns and usually get better in a few days. In the meantime, only soft foods and cool liquids should be consumed. Hard and crusty foods can irritate the mouth and cause more pain.

The individual can also have saltwater rinses after every meal so that the palate remains clean.
